Rideau Rangers Day Camp
SMITHS FALLS, ON – The annual Rideau Rangers Day Camp, hosted by the Rideau Canal Museum, invites children from ages 4 to 10 to join this summer’s fun-filled weeks from July 14-18 and August 18-22. From 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday to Friday, kids will enjoy indoor and outdoor activities, arts and crafts, canal history lessons games, activities, and much more!
The week’s highlight will no doubt be a Voyageur Canoe ride during which an enthusiastic and costumed canoe instructor will tell tales of the construction of the canal from 1826-1832, while making an exciting pass through the Rideau Canal locks system.
Each day will correspond to a specific theme – Mystery Island, Ships and Sailors, March like a Soldier, even Halloween in July – to add even more creativity to the camp!
The cost is $20 per day or $95 for the entire week. Spaces are limited, so please call the Rideau Canal Museum at 613-284-0505 to reserve a spot for your child. The themes will be different each week, so you can even sign up for both!
