January 25 Music Series - Hard Pushin' Poppa “Museum Music Series = Hot Line-up!”

The “Life Along the Rideau” Music Series is back with a bang and this season’s line-up is hot, hot, hot!

The Rideau Canal Museum welcomes Hard Pushin’ Poppa to kick-off the “Life Along the Rideau” music series 2008, which debuts Friday, January 25. Doors open at 7:00 pm and the concert starts at 7:30 pm.

Don’t miss your chance to enjoy some down home toe-tapping blues music performed by Pat Johnson on guitar and mandolin, Glen Crotty on drums and Matthew Wilson on tuba. You do not want to miss this show!

Refreshments are available during the intermission. Tickets are available for $12 each. Full season passes are available for a cost of $50 each, and can be reserved by calling the museum at (613) 284-0505. Feburary 9 Chocolates, Wines and Valentines A night of Chocolate and wine tasting. This years’ event is being run by Colio Wines.

February 21 Workshop on ‘Alternate Energy’ The Rideau Environmental Action League conducts community-wide environmental projects and promotes environmental improvements within the Town of Smiths Falls and Lanark, Leeds and Grenville Counties. Lectures begin at 7:00pm, are approximately one hour, and are held in the auditorium of the Rideau Canal Museum.

February 29  Music Series - ESP Doors open at 7:00 p.m. with concerts beginning at 7:30. Refreshments are available during the intermission. Tickets are available for $12 each.
