PIRATE COVE MARINA (buoy N 153) (Draft at dock 5 feet, gas, ramp, crane, dockage, mooring, power, water, pump-out, motor/hull repairs, ice, store, phone, washrooms) A spacious, family marina set in beautiful surroundings. Boaters enjoy the largest dockage areas around, their own space with barbecue area, shore power and water. Have your own picnic, use our snack bar, enjoy the heated swimming pool, all in a happy and safe environment. Fax (613) 258-6426 Navigation notes Proceed with caution through the privately marked channel. Be careful to avoid anchoring over the submerged power cable clearly indicated on the chart. On the NW side off the main channel and opposite the marina there is a good overnight anchorage in depths of 7 - 13 feet (2-4 m). At N144 there is a pleasant lunch anchorage at the mouth of the bay. Not suitable for overnight stops. There is a public launch ramp opposite Pirate Cove Marina, approximately at marker N152. Between N149 and the west shore there is a good lunch/swimming anchorage. Baxter Conservation Area (buoys N 141-140) offers swimming, change areas, picnic spots, hiking and interpretive programs; the Flying Club has gliders and small engine planes, with rides and tours available. Taylor Conservation Area (buoy N120) Just before N120 there is a day-use park with some dockage, a launch ramp, swimming beach and picnic tables. Helen's Place restaurant is located up a short lane.
