It's hard to imagine prettier docking facilities within an urban environment. Canada's Parliament Buildings make a backdrop to the boat docking in Ottawa. Offering over 300 metres (1000 feet) of docking, there is lots of space for boaters. This photo was taken on a sunny Saturday in July showing that crowding is not normally an issue. On the left is the lovely National Arts Centre. Blue line docking (for boats waiting to lock through the Ottawa Locks) is located under the Plaze Bridge (in background of photo).
